This programme is divided into two capsules. The syllabus of the courses covers the entire spectrum of the media industry. It consists of academics and internship which is covered within a timeframe of 12 and 6 months respectively.
Major emphasis is given on practicals and projects. Besides these, guest lectures by industry experts is an important part of the sessions.
Bachelor of Arts (Journalism and Mass Communication )
The full-time programme is spread over a period of three years, and spaced out over six semesters of six months each incorporating theoretical lectures, hands-on practical sessions, tutorials, classroom presentations ,assignments, sporting and cultural events, field trips, study tours and projects.
Master in Arts (Journalism and Mass Communication)
(Post-graduate, semester pattern course)
The Master's course is designed for students desirous of taking up careers in mass media. A thorough grounding will be provided in communication and journalism theories and mass media research.
The syllabus is designed in such a way that the latest developments in the ever-changing media sector can be easily incorporated in classroom teaching.
