The full-time programme is spread over a period of three years, and spaced out over six semesters of six months each incorporating theoretical lectures, hands-on practical sessions, tutorials, classroom presentations ,assignments, sporting and cultural events, field trips, and projects.
The Course shall focus on functional and operational use of journalism and mass media.With the specific aim of use in media,it will equip students with competence in different modes of communication.
There is definitely a great scope for journalism in India.The advent of so many new platforms,such as The Logical India,Scroll,SaddaHaq,and the traction that these platforms are gaining is sign of that.
In fact,look at the number of foreign players vying for journalism space in India-- Huffington Post,Mashable,Quartz already have operations and a few more are planning to start operations soon.
The challenge,however,is what impact journalism is able to make.At this time,thanks to the Internet,it is all about "top x things that 'blow your mind' which doesn't add real value.Unfortunately,many new platforms are trying to fight for this "viral"space,which will most likely die out in a few years.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from recognized board.
