There is definitely a great scope for journalism in India. The advent of so many new platforms, such as The Logical India,Scroll,SaddaHaq,and the traction that these platforms are gaining is sign of that.

In fact, look at the number of foreign players vying for journalism space in India-- Huffington Post,Mashable,Quartz already have operations and a few more are planning to start operations soon.

The challenge, however,is what impact journalism is able to make.At this time, thanks to the Internet,it is all about "top x things that 'blow your mind' which doesn't add real value.Unfortunately, many new platforms are trying to fight for this "viral"space, which will most likely die out in a few years.
